The C9 visa is the right visa as it is  ideal choice for individuals attending short-term educational programs, such as courses, or benchmarking activities in Indonesia. It allows a stay of up to 60 days, with the flexibility of extension.

This visa allows people to enter Indonesia and attend courses or provide upskilling and workshops etc. However it is important to remember that these individuals are not permitted to generate an income in the country. These are not working visas simply visas to allow people to expand their skills and education.

What You Can Do

With the C9 visa, you are allowed to:

  • Participate in short courses, training programs, or benchmarking activities.
  • Site Inspection and Quality control
  • Negotiate contracts or other business activities
  • Attend events
  • Work with branch office Staff
  • Enjoy tourism in Indonesia, and visit friends or family during your stay.

However, be careful – what you can not do is generate an income locally.

Visa Requirements

To apply for the C9 visa, you must provide:

  • Valid Passport: A passport valid for at least 6 months (12 months for other travel documents such as emergency passports).
  • Financial Proof: A personal bank statement showing at least USD $2000 over the past 3 months, including your name, date, and balance.
  • Photograph: A recent color photo.
  • Guarantor: A guarantee letter from your host or institution in Indonesia.
  • Proof of Participation: Documentation confirming your enrollment in a training program or course from a government or private institution.

Visa Validity

The C9 visa must be used to enter Indonesia within 90 days of issuance. Please note that the visa validity period differs from the 60-day stay period.
